I’m an associate professor
in the linguistics department at the University of Paris 8, and a researcher at the Laboratoire de Sciences Cognitives et
Psycholinguistique.
In my research I combine
insights from phonological theory and experimental psychology along two
directions.
On the one hand, I study
phonological processing in adults and early phonological acquisition in
infants. I'm especially interested in the respective roles of statistical
mechanisms and linguistic knowledge during acquisition.
On the other hand, I
examine the consequences of models of early language acquisition and adult
speech processing for linguistic theory. My current interests concern
phonological phenomena of languages in contact, such as loanword adaptations.
